For PITS, images of male armpits were harvested from Instagram, cropped, and blurred into collages that each take the shape of another armpit. Through these forms, lengths of braided artificial hair pierce and hang, recalling the growth of body hair as a marker of male sexual maturity.

At the same time, the arrangement resembles a decorative hairpiece or ornament, tipping the work toward a more feminine or even baroque register. This tension between masculine and feminine, fetish and adornment, body and object, anchors the work. PITS plays with the intimacy of armpits as sites of desire while reimagining them as sculptural fragments—simultaneously abject and ornamental.
