This work collapses figure and object into one form: a bed that is also a body. The reclining shape is both support and occupant, blurring where rest ends and embodiment begins.

The brown vinyl surface evokes both chocolate’s allure and the abject associations of faeces. The figure appears to deflate, shifting toward excrement, mulch, or earth — a body in the process of decomposition and return. Arms merge with legs, folding inward in a gesture of imprisonment. Figure in Between holds the tension between comfort and suffocation, pleasure and abjection, the body as both vessel and residue.
